Film Buying Skills

Sep 20, 2021

There are many types of films on the market, but the most commonly used printing films are BOPP, NY, PET, and PE. As far as printing is concerned, the most important thing is of course the surface treatment effect of the film and whether the NY film is damp. During printing, the process requirements for measuring the surface tension of the film per roll should be formulated. The corona effect is time-sensitive, and if it is left for a long time, the corona effect may decrease too much to meet the printing requirements; it can also avoid the hidden trouble of accidentally reversing the film surface printing.

PE film is the object of our focus: when blowing the film, the film roll may miss the corona treatment; the film thickness is too large or uneven and the corona effect is not enough; the blowing film is added too much slip agent or high cool Excessive proportion of slippery granules causes the corona effect to drop drastically. When the corona effect on both sides of the 12~15um PET film is not much different, it is easy to cause the printing film roll back sticking failure. Corona requirements for printing film: BOPP, PE≥38 dyne, PET≥50 dyne, NY≥52 dyne. After the NY film absorbs water, it will not have a major impact on the corona effect. To determine whether the NY film absorbs water, see whether the film shrinks or not. Cut a film and put it in the oven for a few hours. Whether it feels hard and if there is a tendency , Stiffening, etc., the NY film absorbs too much water. When purchasing a film, you must explain the purpose and requirements of the film to the supplier. The film varieties are refined. Just say the names of PET, NY, and BOPP. The supplier may have several varieties, but not all of them are suitable.
